We are pleased to announce
Dr. Xiaoming Jin is a well-trained and experienced acupuncturist and biomedical scientist. Our clinic is conveniently located next to N 465 and Michigan Road. We use different types of acupuncture and Chinese medicine to treat patients with pains and other diseases in Indianapolis, Carmel, and other nearby cities.
Acupuncture is effective for controlling pain, but it can do much more than that!
To achieve fastest effects in fewest treatments, we offer individualized treatment based on patient's conditions (disease, age, health etc.) and select different methods including body acupuncture, scalp acupuncture, ear acupuncture, Guasha, cupping, and herbal medicine.
Acupuncture is effective not only for various pains, but also for many other conditions! We are specialized in pain control, neurological disorders, digestive diseases, cancer support, and providing preventive care using herbal medicine. For example, acupuncture can be used for weight control or anxiety and can regulate and normalize body functions without causing any significant side effects.
Dr. Jin received his education in acupuncture and biomedicine in China and US. In addition to general acupuncture& TCM practice, he is particularly experienced in neurological disorders and digestive diseases. With over three decades of experience, he used to teach acupuncture treatment and research in several prestigious acupuncture schools in the bay area of the US.
We use different acupuncture treatment systems such as body, scalp, ear, and sinew acupuncture for different disease conditions and for quickest effects. For example, the scalp acupuncture we are using can have immediate effects on acute and chronic pains and some neurological disorders.
In contrast to acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine usually uses a combination of herbs (i.e. formula) to regulate the balance of Yin and Yang and treat diseases holistically. Given its long history, tested theories, rich experience, and convenience, it provides an excellent additional approach for some patients or complex conditions. For example, herbal medicine is helpful and efficient for patients with loss of essential life substance (the Yin materials of life) .
Gua Sha, another type of non-invasive meridian treatment, uses a special tool to press-stroke on a lubricated skin area to intentionally induce transitory therapeutic petechiae (called ‘sha’). This therapy stimulates many acupuncture points and meridians of the body in a single treatment session. If used correctly, it has amazing effects, ranging from keeping health to treating challenging diseases such as anxiety, Tic disorders, and Alzheimer disease. We successfully used Gua Sha to relieve symptoms of Covid-19 infection.
You may notice that more and more celebrities show up on events with round marks on their arms or backs. Cupping therapy is a type of acupuncture treatment that involves placing cups on the skin to create vacuum suction, which remove stasis and improve energy flow to facilitate healing.
Wet cupping is a variation of regular cupping where prior to a cup being placed, skin pricks or punctures are made on certain specific body regions so that blood is drawn out in the cupping process. For certain conditions with blood stasis, wet cupping can be much more effective than regular cupping.
